Step back into Victorian London, where fear and chaos grip the streets of Whitechapel. A string of grisly murders has plunged the city into a public safety crisis, sparking intense public scrutiny and media frenzy. Delegates in this crisis committee will navigate the complex intersections of public safety, media influence, and evolving investigative techniques to restore order. Balancing government transparency, community trust, and innovative policing strategies, delegates must decide how to address public outcry while pursuing justice. Will your strategies unravel the mystery, or will Jack the Ripper remain an enigma?

About the Chair

Hey! My name is Anne Traver and I am a junior here at OSU. I am a world politics and communications major with minors in history, economics, and international relations. Outside of OSUMUN I am the president of True Crime Club and that was in part the inspiration for this committee. This is the second committee that I will be running for OSUMUN and I am so excited that it is a specialized committee. Prepare to discuss topics such as public safety, government relations with media, and investigative + policing strategies. That said, if you have any questions or concerns please reach out at traver.24@osu.edu.
